Marylands is part wooded with an open meadow and a small stream. It has a wide variety of plants, including a number of tree species associated with ancient woodland. Such a mix of habitats supports a variety of breeding birds and insects in summer.
Access from Plumberow Avenue in Hockley, which turns off Spa Road/Greensward Lane just north of Hockley station
Hockley station (Liverpool St line) is about 800m away via Plumberow Avenue. Regular bus service along Plumberow Avenue.
